What is VESA mounting?Updated 16 days ago
VESA mounting refers to attaching a device directly to a TV or monitor using the standard VESA hole pattern — typically measured in millimeters (e.g., 75x75mm, 100x100mm, 200x200mm). This method keeps devices secure and hidden, without needing to drill into your wall.
HIDEit offers several VESA-compatible mounts for direct attachment. If your device mount doesn’t have VESA holes — or if your TV’s VESA holes are already in use for a TV wall mount — our HIDEit Uni-VESA Adapter makes it possible to still mount your device behind the TV. The adapter adds extra mounting points without interfering with your existing TV bracket, no drilling or modifications required.
Many of our VESA-compatible mounts come with the screws you need for most TVs:
M4 screws (commonly used for smaller TVs and monitors)
M6 screws (commonly used for larger TVs)
For installation, all you typically need is a #2 Phillips screwdriver — no extra drilling required.
Pro Tip: Always check your TV’s manual to confirm the correct VESA size before starting your installation.
